It’s best to pack as lightly as possible for your safari, but there are some items that you definitely shouldn’t leave behind!

Probably the most important of all is:

Neutral-coloured clothing

Elephants don’t love neon brights; khaki is still very much in vogue in the South Luangwa!

Also make sure the following are tucked safely into your bag:

High-factor sun screen
Sunglasses
Sun hat
Insect repellent
Personal medication including malaria tablets
Warm clothing for morning and night drives
Comfortable walking shoes
Torch
Camera and batteries
Plug adaptor for British three square prong socket
Binoculars (useful but you can always borrow ours!)
A little extra cash for curios, bar etc.

You will also need to arrange your own travel insurance before you begin your safari. We’ll ask you to send us details of your insurance provider ahead of your arrival.
